A Coastal Flood Advisory is still in effect as the onshore flow continues from the east. Water is expected to rise to minor flood levels during high tide this afternoon.
There is also a Small Craft Advisory in effect, so use caution if you’re taking your boat out on the water.
Wind gusts today will reach up to 25 mph with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s.
Lows tonight will drop to the 50s and 60s.
Highs for Friday reach the upper 70s to low 80s. We’ll all see the 80s by the weekend. It will be great weather if you’re heading out to the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival.
A small shower or two is possible, but most areas will stay dry.
