The St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 1 is asking for the public’s help finding a lost dog.
According to the fire department, the dog, Bourbon, belonged to a person who was involved in a serious crash over the weekend on Interstate 12 near the Highway 11 Brownswitch exit.
Firefighters say Bourbon was ejected from the car and might be injured.
The eight-year-old dog was wearing a hot pink collar with her name on it.
She is believed to be near the Hwy 11 exit on I-12 eastbound, in the area just past the exit.
The owner was critically injured in the crash.
Anyone who sees Bourbon is asked to not chase her and instead call the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 985-898-2340.
