The Hammond Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured two people Wednesday.
According to police, the shooting happened around 8:22 p.m. near U.S. Highway 190 East and Morris Road.
Police found a woman who had been shot in the arm. She was later transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Officers later found a man in a car in the St. Paul Loop Subdivision. According to police, the man was shot in the shoulder in the same shooting.
According to police, the man’s car had been damaged by the gunfire. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
No information was provided by police regarding potential suspects in the shooting.
