There was a much different atmosphere at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in New Orleans Tuesday, following days of long lines and delays.
On Sunday and Monday, security lines wrapped around the airport and stretched into the parking garage.
Come Tuesday, lines were much more manageable.
ICE agents who deployed to the airport this week were seen helping with baggage claim and security lines.
This comes after President Donald Trump said Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents would head to airports to assist with crowd management and to support Transportation Security Administration operations.
Airports across the country are seeing massive delays due to the partial government shutdown.
Many TSA workers have not received a full paycheck since February.
Officials say 400 agents have quit the job altogether since the shutdown started.
Those traveling should continue to monitor their flight status and plan to be at least three hours early to avoid long lines during peak travel times.
