The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a report of a suspicious item at Decatur and Saint Peter streets outside Jackson Sqaure.
The NOPD Bomb Squad is on the scene following standard protocol and is checking the item.
As a safety measure, officers have closed Decatur Street to traffic between Toulouse and Saint Ann streets.
NOPD gave an all-clear around 10:30 a.m. stating there was no threat to the public.
