A Northshore teacher is facing charges in St. Tammany Parish after being accused of putting Band-Aids on students’ mouths.
According to the Pearl River Police Department, this happened to seven students ranging from 8 to 10 years old at Riverside Elementary School.
Deputies say 38-year-old George Serban allegedly placed the Band-Aids on the students’ mouths as a punishment for talking in class.
Serban has been charged with simple battery and cruelty to juveniles.
