The Orleans Parish sheriff-elect announced her transition team on Tuesday.
Orleans Parish sheriff-elect Michelle Woodfork held a news conference where she announced who will assist with retention, managing the budget, and more as she prepares to take office in May.
The four co-chairs of her transition team will focus on these tasks. Those co-chairs include Ayame Dinkler, Sean Bruno, Stephen Gele, and Murphy Paul Jr.
Woodfork is working with the current administration for a smooth transition and aims to end the federal consent decree within her first year in office.
“Together this team is charged with ensuring a seamless handoff and strong operational start,” Woodfork said.
