Pope John Paul II High School held a groundbreaking ceremony this week for a new campus building.
The ceremony marked an important step in the school’s continued growth. School leaders said the project showed their commitment to providing a strong, faith‑filled Catholic education for families in east St. Tammany Parish.
The new building will include more classrooms, an auxiliary gym and expanded space for performing arts. It will also feature a new band room and a flexible classroom for exploratory learning.
Speakers at the ceremony included Head of School Kimberlie Kilroy, Archbishop James Checchio, Student Representative Michael Delaney, Slidell Mayor Randy Fandal and City Council Representative Kenny Tamberella.
