Jefferson Parish firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire Tuesday morning at a home in Metairie.
Firefighters took about 40 minutes to put out the fire at Transcontinental Drive and Belle Drive, parish officials said.
A parish spokesperson said a resident reported that a smoke alarm went off and woke them. The fire started on a back patio and spread into the attic and roof.
Everyone got out safely.
Investigators are on scene conducting an investigation to determine the cause. Forty-three firefighters responded.
