The New Orleans Saints are adding free agent running back Travis Etienne.
The 27-year-olf from Jennings, Louisiana is coming off his best NFL season with the Jacksonville Jaguars playing in all 17 games and rushing for more than 1100 yards.
A first-round draft picks in 2021 out of Clemson University, Etienne should help a r8shng game that’s been one of the NFL’s worst the previous two seasons.
His addition brings into question the long term future of fan favorite Alvin Kamara in Black & Gold.
The Saints restructured Kamara’s contract this week making it easier to release or trade him.
The best running back in franchise history, Kamara could also move into a secondary role behind Etienne since Kamara is entering the final year of his contract.
