Blue Bayou Waterpark in Baton Rouge will reopen on May 16 under new management.
This comes after the park closed last season as the new owners made plans to reopen.
According to the new management, the park is now hiring employees for the summer reopening.
Leisure Sports, a Louisiana-based company, announced plans to reopen the beloved Baton Rouge waterpark in 2026 under new management and a fresh brand.
The park will operate as part of the company’s Soak’n Fun brand.
Leisure Sports, which also operates Gulf Islands Waterpark in Gulfport, Mississippi, aims to create a safe, fun and family-friendly atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
