A Pre-K classroom at St. Philip Neri school in Metairie learned about broadcasting and meteorology during their Community Helpers Week.
Meteorologist Derek Sibley and photojournalist Neal Bourgeois visited the class to discuss journalism, the weather, and why asking questions is so important.
The students even got to see the WDSU Storm Patrol and make their own tornado with Sibley.
The visit turned into a lesson in curiosity for all involved, with the possibility of meeting some future reporters along the way.
