The Washington Parish Fire Department responded to a brush fire in Angie Wednesday.
According to the fire department, a large brush fire was reported off Highway 438 and East Columbia Road.
The fire has been contained.
Two people were evacuated due to the fire.
Residents are asked to avoid the area while firefighters extinguish the fire.
According to Sheriff Jason Smith, a burn ban is in effect and has been for three weeks. Those who violate the burn ban will be cited.
