Southeastern Louisiana University will host its annual Women’s History Month lecture series in March, the school’s Department of History and Political Science said.
The series includes five talks. Each lecture is free and open to the public. All events will take place in the Student Union Theatre.
The schedule is:
- “Thank You for Being a Friend: A Golden Age for Historic Preservation,” by Kelly Sellers Wittie of Row 10 Historic Preservation Solutions, Wednesday, March 4, at 12:30 p.m.
- “Picturing Liberty: The Many Faces of Marianne,” by Rachel Harmeyer of Southeastern’s Visual Art + Design Department, Tuesday, March 10, at 2 p.m.
- “Slapped in the Face by Walls: The Lifelines Prison Poetry Project,” by Alison Pelegrin of Southeastern’s English Department, Tuesday, March 17, at 11 a.m.
- “The Psalter of Whom? A Thematic and Visual Analysis,” by Blair Gallon of Southeastern’s Visual Art + Design Department, Tuesday, March 24, at 11 a.m.
- “Introducing Southeastern’s Freyder Military Collection,” by Samantha Cavell of Southeastern’s History and Political Science Department, Monday, March 30, at 12:30 p.m.
