The Orleans Parish coroner identified the victims of three weekend shootings near Mardi Gras.
The first two victims were shot and killed on Sunday, Feb. 15. Both of these victims died from gunshot wounds, according to the coroner.
The coroner, Dr. Dwight McKenna, identified them as Ricky Smith, Jr., 37, who was shot on South Derbigny Street.
The coroner says Osmar Flores, 24, died on Granville Street on Feb. 15. Initial NOPD reports show that this scene had two other victims, who were injured and taken to the hospital.
Both of these victims died from gunshot wounds, according to the coroner.
On Lundi Gras, Dr. McKenna says Ronald Still, Jr., 45 years old, died on Piety Street. The NOPD’s initial reports say the victim was found lying in the road and died on the scene.
