Tulane University Police said they are investigating a fondling that happened early Tuesday near the uptown campus.
Police said the incident happened at about 6:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of Zimpel Street. The location is next to Greenbaum Hall.
The victim told officers they were standing in the street with friends when an unknown man walked up and grabbed the victim’s genital area. The man then ran toward Audubon Street.
The suspect is not known to the victim or law enforcement. Police said the man is still at large.
The victim described the suspect as a Black man about 5 feet 10 inches tall. The man wore a light‑colored hoodie.
TUPD and NOPD are investigating.
