The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in LaPlace.
The shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Sugar Ridge Drive.
When deputies arrived, they found Trey Johnson, 32, of LaPlace, shot.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
A second person also injured in the shooting was taken to an area hospital for treatment. That victim is a 39-year-old man.
According to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, the suspect in the shooting was identified as Andrew Brown, 33, of LaPlace.
Brown was arrested Sunday and booked on suspicion of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
Brown is being held in the parish jail under a $1.25 million bond.
