A Tornado Watch has been issued for portions of southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi until 5am Sunday.
A Tornado Watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of severe weather including tornadoes.
Timing of storms
By 3am-4am, the line moves through south Mississippi while also affecting the coast.
Will be in the clear by 5am as the line will be well to our east by then.
The main threat continues to be damaging winds, but an isolated tornado could be possible along with heavy rain.
Rainfall accumulations of a half inch with locally higher totals will be possible as the line moves through.
