New Orleans police are investigating a stabbing that happened Saturday night near the parade route.
According to police, a fight broke out in the 2500 block of Canal Street around 8:31 p.m.
A man attempted to intervene when he was stabbed twice in the back by an unknown person.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by EMS.
No other information has been provided at this time.
