A 20-year-old is in custody after allegedly driving drunk and plowing into a Slidell home, where a 13-year-old was sleeping.
Slidell police arrested Alec Dillon, 20, of Slidell on Thursday night.
According to police, around 11 p.m. on Thursday, they responded to a car that crashed into a house in the 100 block of Dewald Drive.
When they arrived at the home, they found a car completely inside the bedroom of the house, where a 13-year-old was sleeping in the bed at the time of the crash.
Police said Dillon was still at the scene when they arrived and was visibly intoxicated.
Dillon was arrested for second offense DWI, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, vehicular negligent injuring, driving under suspension, and open container.
The 13-year-old only received minor injuries from the crash.
