The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued their 3 month temperature and precipitation outlook for the upcoming winter season.
This season, temperatures are forecast to be cooler than average over the northern U.S. and warmer than average over the southern, southwestern, and southeastern U.S.
Wetter than average conditions are likely over the northern and midwestern U.S. and drier than average over the southern, southwestern, and southeastern U.S.
This is due to La Nina conditions that are present and are forecast to continue through the winter.
