The New Orleans Police Department announced “Front Burner Friday” suspects.
Police are searching for Genero Burbank, 22, for a carjacking in the 200 block of Loyola Avenue in the Central Business District.
According to the NOPD, on Sept. 11, the victim stated she was in a car with Burbank when he pulled out a gun and forced her and her 6-month-old child out of the car at gunpoint.
Investigators said Burbank fled the scene in the victims’ car in an unknown direction.
He is being charged with carjacking.
The second person wanted by the NOPD is Danee Lazard, 29.
Lazard was reported to be a frequent shoplifter at his business in the 4100 block of Jumonville Street.
On July 11, the victim reported that Lazard entered the business and was asked to leave.
According to investigators, she produced a firearm and pointed it at the victim was banging on the glass barrier surrounding the cash register.
A warrant was issued for Lazard on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm.
The last person is wanted for an attempted second-degree homicide that happened on Bourbon Street.
Willie Jackson, 29, is wanted after he allegedly stabbed a woman several times.
According to police, on Sept. 15 in the 100 block of Bourbon Street, the victim said she was in the area when a woman approached her and began an altercation that led to others being involved.
The victim reported being stabbed, and after reviewing security and cellphone footage, investigators were able to identify Jackson as the suspect.
He is being charged with attempted second-degree murder.
