New Orleans residents are set to elect their next mayor. Below are full election results from the race.

Recent polling and debates show that State Sen. Royce Duplessis and New Orleans City Council members Helena Moreno and Oliver Thomas are front runners in the race.
About Royce Duplessis
State Sen. Royce Duplessis is a New Orleans native who grew up in Pontchartrain Park.
His political career began when he was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2018.
He was elected to the Senate in 2022.
His district represents areas like Carrollton, Mid-City, Lower Garden District, Uptown, and parts of Jefferson Parish.
He announced his campaign for mayor in July.
About Helena Moreno
New Orleans City Council President Helena Moreno became the first candidate in the mayor’s race after announcing her campaign in December 2024.
Moreno, a former journalist and WDSU anchor, first took office in 2010 in the Louisiana House of Representatives.
She went on to serve on the New Orleans City Council from 2017 to 2025.
Moreno was born in Xalapa, Mexico.
About Oliver Thomas
Oliver Thomas is a New Orleans native from the Lower Ninth Ward.
Thomas first took office in 1994 as a New Orleans Councilman for District B. He served two terms in that position and went on to be councilmember at-large in 2002 and 2006.
Thomas was convicted of bribery in 2007 and served a federal sentence before continuing his political career.
In 2021, he was elected to represent District E, which primarily covers New Orleans East and the Lower Ninth Ward.
He launched his campaign in March for mayor.
