Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams will join federal and state law enforcement officials Wednesday to announce the results of a major investigation into a drug and gun trafficking ring operating out of a French Quarter business.
The store, called Kulture, is located on the 300 block of Burgundy Street just off Bienville Street. Investigators say it was used as a front for a large-scale operation involving illegal drugs and firearms.
The DA’s office seized the business after a court-approved search warrant and months of investigation. Agents recovered large amounts of narcotics, weapons, and evidence of drug trafficking across state lines.
The announcement will include leaders from the ATF, New Orleans Police Department, Louisiana State Police, and Homeland Security Investigations.
