A St. Tammany Council member has announced her campaign for U.S. Senate.
Hammond native Kathy Seiden launched her campaign Wednesday, as the first woman in the Louisiana Republican Primary for the U.S. Senate.
“I’m running because Washington has lost touch with the real challenges families face every single day,” said Seiden.“As a mother of four, I’ve lived those struggles. We need a fighter who stands unapologetically for faith, family, and the American way of life.”
Seiden represents District 4 on the St. Tammany Parish Council.
Seiden said she is running for the U.S. Senate on a platform rooted in faith, family, and America First principles.
“I want voters to see who I am, no filters,” Seiden said. “Hopefully, this series gives people the chance to get to know me. I think voters are ready for someone they can relate to who understands what they go through every day, not another career politician.”
