CENTRAL TROPICAL ATLANTIC:
A broad tropical wave is moving through the central Atlantic, producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms well to the southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. While conditions are not favorable for development in the short term, the environment may gradually improve over the next several days.
By the middle to the latter part of this week, the system could become better organized as it tracks WNW across the Atlantic. If that happens, a tropical depression may form.
WHAT WE KNOW:
Chance of development over the next 2 days: Low 0%
Chance of development over the next 3-7 days: Medium 40%
IMPACTS TO SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA:
None.
