LSU jumps to No. 3 in latest AP poll

The first AP Poll for the 2025 college football season is out.

The LSU Tigers rank #3 in the country after beating Clemson, who was previously ranked 4th, 17-10.

This was the first season-opening win since 2019, when Joe Burrow led the the Tigers to an undefeated season and a national championship.

The game at Clemson marked the first time in school history that LSU was featured in a top 10 matchup for a true road game to open the season.

LSU host Louisiana Tech Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Tulane also received votes to be in the Top 25 after beating Northwestern 23-3.

Tulane will be away as they play South Alabama Saturday at 6 p.m.
