Southeast Louisiana starts the week with more heat and humidity. Afternoon highs will reach the mid 90s, and it will feel even hotter — 103 to 110 degrees when you factor in the humidity.
A few isolated showers and thunderstorms may pop up during the afternoon.
Overnight lows drop into the mid to upper 70s.
Looking Ahead
- Tuesday & Wednesday: The ridge of high pressure sticks around, keeping rain chances low at 20–40%. Highs stay in the mid-90s with triple-digit feels-like temps each afternoon.
- Late Week (Thursday–Saturday): A weak boundary taps into Gulf moisture, bringing better storm chances (50–70%). Highs will back down a bit, closer to the low 90s, with heat index values staying under advisory levels.
Tropics
Hurricane Erin remains a major hurricane in the Atlantic. The NHC is also watching an area of interest with a medium chance of development this week in the Central Atlantic. For more on that, click here.
