The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed two people Tuesday night, including a 17-year-old.
The shooting happened in the 2100 block of Allen Street in the Seventh Ward around 9:15 p.m.
When officers arrived they found one man shot. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
Two others arrived at an area hospital in a private car. Police say one of those victims, a 17-year-old boy, died from his injuries.
The 17-year-old was identified as De’Von Franklin. The other person killed was identified as Brent McDonald.
NOPD has not released a motive or identified any suspects at this time.
Investigators are working to determine the exact motive and identify suspect(s).
