The New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams are finalizing a joint practice this Thursday in Southern California, according to the Rams official website.
The Saints are spending time in Orange County to beat the New Orleans heat and humidity and to help build team chemistry and camaraderie. The Black & Gold played the L.A. Chargers in a preseason game Sunday and were scheduled to workout for three more days on the campus of UC-Irvine this week.
New Orleans did not have any joint practices scheduled.
The Rams lost the opportunity to have joint practices this week when the Chargers pulled out of the workouts due to injuries.
Rams head coach Sean McVay said, “I am hopeful that we’ll be able to get something coordinated with them on Thursday. It’s looking like that’s more likely than not that we’ll be able to do that. And then I’ll have some more specifics for you guys tomorrow, once we finalize those plans.”
The Rams website reports the teams are looking at Carson as the location for that joint practice. Carson is centrally located enough that it would take roughly an hour for each team to get there.
