Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday afternoon.
Some of the storms could cause heavy rain which could lead to localized street flooding. A marginal risk of flash flooding is in effect for all of southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi.
An upper level high pressure system will strengthen and build across the region early next week. This will heat up our temperatures and heat index values.
High temperatures will rise to the mid and upper 90s Sunday-Tuesday with heat index values in the 110s.
Moisture will returns Wednesday leading to increased rain chances Wednesday-Friday of next week.
