After early morning crashes, drivers are seeing heavy backups in multiple areas of New Orleans for the Wednesday morning commute.
A crash is blocking two right lanes on Interstate 10 east at Veterans Boulevard.
Congestion has reached Williams Boulevard. The crash was first reported around 6:56 a.m., and drivers should expect delays.
An earlier crash blocking the left lane on St. Claude Avenue (LA 46) heading westbound also caused heavy delays as drivers crossed the Industrial Canal.
Congestion has reached Tupelo Street.
Drivers should expect heavy delays in the area throughout the day because St. Claude Avenue is an alternate route, as the Judge Seeber (LA 39) bridge is closed for maintenance.
