A Heat Advisory goes into effect for much of Southeast Louisiana on Wednesday, including the Greater New Orleans area from 10 am until 7 pm making it a WDSU First Warning Weather Impact Day.
It could feel as hot as up to 110 at times within the advised area.
The entire Northshore is included in this advisory, but areas along the Louisiana coast are not.
Be sure to plan for extra break time if you work outside.
Check that your neighbors have access to air conditioning.
Take care of your pets, too. Make sure they have access to cool locations and cool water.
