Three suspects have been arrested and a fourth is being sought in connection with the shooting of a teen in Kenner Tuesday night.
The shooting happened in the 2400 block of West Metairie Avenue around 4:53 p.m.
When police arrived, they found a 14-year-old who had been shot in the leg. The teen was taken to an area hospital and was later released.
Police identified and arrested three teens in connection with the shooting.
Those arrested were Tory Nelson, 17, of Metairie, Jason King, 21, of Kenner, and Rayfield Lee, 17, of Kenner.
Police say the 14-year-old identified Nelson as the shooter and King and Lee as accomplices.
The shooting stemmed from a fight between the 14-year-old and the suspects.
According to Kenner police, the suspects ran toward a gas station on West Metairie Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard. Nelson gave the gun to his brother, a minor, who rode a bike from the scene and remains at large.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Nelson’s brother, who has not been named.
Nelson is facing charges of aggravated battery, illegal use of a weapon, and obstruction of justice.
Jason King is facing charges of principal to aggravated battery and obstruction of justice.
Lee is facing the same charges as King, as well as an additional drug possession charge.
