As the search for two inmates who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center nears four weeks, New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick has offered legal assistance to one of the inmates on the run.
During a news conference Wednesday, Kirkpatrick offered Antoine Massey access to a defense attorney if he chooses to surrender.
“If you want to surrender, they have arranged a defense attorney for him, and will have that attorney ready for the moment you surrender,” Kirkpatrick said.
Both Massey and Derrick Groves remain at large, and there is a $50,000 reward for any information that could lead to their arrests.
