For the first time in the Kellen Moore era, the Who Dat Nation got a chance to watch the 2025 New Orleans Saints practice.
The practice took place Tuesday from noon-1:30 p.m. at the Saints facility on in Metairie.
“The fan aspect of this is awesome and it’s really really cool, it’s impressive to see that on a Tuesday in the middle of June we can reach capacity here and have a great turn out, it shows how special this place is,” Saints head coach Kellen Moore said.
It was perfect attendance for the first of three mandatory minicamp practices.
They got to see running back Alvin Kamara, receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed as well as the quarterbacks.
“They were out there early, they were loud cheering so it was really cool to be out there in front of everybody especially in those conditions and I’m really excited to see more,” rookie quarterback Tyler Shough said.
Shough wasn’t the only excited to see the fans, you could also add safety Tyrann Mathieu to that list.
“Really I was kind of thrown off, I didn’t expect that many people to show up, but you got to realize it’s New Orleans and people love their Saints,” Mathieu said.
Tuesday’s practice was a sellout, which is also the case for Wednesday’s minicamp practice.
