Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office has arrested an undocumented person accused of distributing pornography involving children.
Angel Gabriel Juarez, 20, was arrested at his home on N. 14th Street in Slidell on June 5.
He’s facing 26 counts of pornography involving juveniles under 13.
Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Juarez was taken to the St. Tammany Parish Jail and booked. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on Juarez.
“Crimes like this will not be tolerated here in Louisiana, especially from those in our country illegally. Great work by my LBI agents and all our law enforcement partners on this arrest,” said Attorney General Liz Murrill in an issued statement.
