WiFi issues? That Christmas tree may be your problem.

Holiday decorating Pro Tip: Be careful where you put up your Christmas tree because it may be interfering with your WiFi!

Putting anything in front of your router, especially big things like a Christmas tree, can cause significant slowdowns and other issues according to The Sun.

Lights and tinsel can make it even worse because when your router’s radio waves hit tinsel, they bounce off and scatter which can slow your WiFi down. Ornaments too.

Also if your tree is plugged into the same outlet as your router, you can expect some slow speeds as well. So switch stuff around and go watch Christmas movies while eating those random cookies in the decorative circular tins and have yourself a night.
